Paul grew up in Bristol and began piano lessons when he was five years old. His natural aptitude for the piano soon came to the fore and before long he was winning local eisteddfods. Eventually he secured a place on the Piano Performance course at Birmingham Conservatoire, studying with the celebrated Irish pianist, Philip Martin.

Later Paul also obtained his Batchelors degree in Music at Bristol University. His piano studies continued with Professor Carola Grindea, founder of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA), of which Paul is an active member.

Over the years Paul has given numerous classical solo recitals both in Bristol and London as well as playing more popular and jazz repertoire at other venues.

Now based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, Paul divides his time between teaching and performing.
